Xponent’s XP7-0100 CATV optical receiver is a high linearity, high responsivity PIN photodiode with a proprietary low noise, low distortion balanced RF amplifier in a compact package designed for high performance CATV optical receivers in HFC distribution networks and Head Ends.  The package uses a simple pin/socket interface design for easy mounting on receiver mother boards. 

The close integration between the photodiode and the RF circuit in Xponent’s design provides exceptional repeatability and excellent performance in frequency response, return loss and distortion performance.  This design advantage is an important benefit of Xponent’s Surface Mount Photonics packaging technology.  The balanced amplifier design reduces second order distortion, resulting in overall performance suitable for demanding node and receiver applications.
